When freezing roads and deep
snow hit Cheriton Bishop in January our local surgery found
themselves more than usually busy in coping with the needs
of their patients. One of the big logistic problems was how
to get the doctors out on their calls without any suitable
vehicles. Maggie
Brash, Practice Manager, attempted to hire a
four-wheel-drive from one of the local hire firm who were
unable to help. With more desperation than hope, Maggie
turned to a local firm, White Horse Motors, for help and was
delighted with their response.
White Horse Director, Paul
Dinnis said "When we heard of the disruption caused by the
severe weather we were more than happy to offer our
immediate support. as a local business I feel that at times
like this it is the least we could do to offer assistance to
the surgery, helping them to serve the local community".
Not only were White Horse
able to provide a splendid four-wheel-drive vehicle to the
doctor, but generously did so without charge! |
